Spoutible Launches Today!
Christopher Bouzy is launching the first Black-owned Twitter alternative that focuses on protecting its users and providing a safe environment for marginalized communities.
When Elon Musk said he was buying Twitter, I felt sick and I knew if the deal went down, it would be bad. Very bad.
In late October 2022, Musk bought Twitter and the site has gone downhill ever since. The user experience is not what it once was. Many complain they no longer see their friends and favorite Twitter users in their feeds. Many report seeing more from the far right than they did pre-Musk. I know I have.
Bot Sentinel CEO Christopher Bouzy decided he would create an alternative to Twitter and I knew he’d be the one who would get it done. Other social media sites have popped up but nothing that has the ease of Twitter. After a few months of asking people what they wanted in a new site, he’s ready to launch Spoutible.com and it does not disappoint.
I was fortunate enough to be asked to create an account early and I LOVE it. Find me there: Kimberley Johnson
Bouzy tweeted:
Michael Morgan was also asked to join the site before the launch and he wrote about the site’s features: Something to Spout about?
Morgan also hosted a Twitter Space; a recorded conversation with Bouzy. Questions were answered about the site and what we should expect now and over time.
Bouzy used funds from supporters and Bot Sentinel to create the site. I think he’s got a winner in Spoutible and I hope to see you there!
